Russell Slack

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ | AWMA™

Russell Slack grew up in the small tourist communities of Southern Utah. He grew up learning how to work hard on a farm from a military father who settled his own career as an educator. Russell’s small-town roots gave him an infectious love of life and the outdoors with a genuine concern for the well-being of the people around him. He is an avid fisherman and outdoors-man who loves sharing his passion with others especially with his wife and two kids.

At the young age of 17, Russell himself joined the Army National Guard and served our country for 10 years. In his working career, Russell spent a decade as a Commercial and then Private Banker which brought him to Idaho in 2006. He provided specialized underwriting and liquidity management to high net worth individuals. He has started several successful businesses including an Angel Investment Group and a Technology Company prior to joining Strategic Wealth Concepts in 2017.

Russell has a belief that your life and community are only as strong as the level of love people show through their service. He has given much of his personal time serving in the City of Ammon since 2009 as a member of the City Council. He has provided leadership to this community serving as the president to the East Idaho Estate Planning Council and has sat on several boards including Eastern Idaho Technical College, Steven Henager College, Chamber of Commerce, Idaho Public Television, Snake River Animal shelter, and others.

His educational background; having a dual bachelor’s degree in both Finance and Marketing, having obtained his series 7, 66 registrations as well as Life, Disability, and Health licenses while maintaining a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERtm designation mix well with his professional career to provide the backbone for advising clients with wide-ranging needs. More than anything he has enjoyed the special relationships that have come with helping families find peace and confidence to live happily in their retirement years.
