Growing up in a small farming and mining community in Southern Utah, Dan learned the value of hard work. At a young age, he became dismayed when he realized that, despite their diligence, many people in his community were uncertain about how to provide for their families if tragedy struck and even more unsure about how to plan for retirement. This inspired him to create a place where people could turn for solid financial advice and a trusted personal relationship.

Dan McPherson's Education and Credentials

Dan earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southern Utah University and a master’s degree in financial planning. He is a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner™), ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant®), Certified Estate Advisor, Certified Tax Specialist, Certified Annuity Specialist, and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor. To stay current with tax laws and estate planning strategies, Dan regularly attends educational workshops.

Dan in the Idaho Falls Community

At 17, Dan started his first business and has continued as a business owner ever since. He is active in local charities, business development groups, and his church. A passionate outdoorsman, Dan enjoys exploring the Snake River Valley. He has climbed to the summit of Denali, the tallest mountain in North America, and skied down. His hobbies also include riding dirt bikes and competing in F-Class shooting and 3-Gun matches.
